GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina women's basketball team hosts the Temple Owls at 6 p.m. on Wednesday in Minges Coliseum.

Last Time Out
The Pirates got back in the win column with a resounding defeat of the UCF Knights in Orlando Saturday. The team led by as much as 23 in the game before holding on for the double-digit victory despite UCF's four triples in the fourth quarter. Danae McNeal led ECU in scoring with 27 while Amiya Joyner had another double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Scouting South Florida
The Owls had a three-game win streak broken up in their last game as they fell to Houston 65-60. Temple led at half but a 19-11 third quarter for Houston spelled doom for the Owls. They are an even 5-5 in conference play and 10-12 overall on the season.

The Owls are led by Aleah Nelson with 15.6 points per game and Tiarra East with 11.6 points and 6.2 rebounds per game.

Series History
Despite Temple leading the all-time series 11-4, the Pirates took the first meeting this season, their first win ever on the road vs. the Owls. Danae McNeal was fantastic in the game with a career-high 28 points.
