Raleigh Relays Meet Info Trojan Challenge Meet Info

GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina track & field team is set to open its 2023 outdoor season with athletes competing at N.C. State's Raleigh Relays and Mount Olive's adidas Trojan Challenge.

The Raleigh Relays run Thursday to Saturday while the Trojan Challenge will take place on Friday and Saturday.

"We are very excited to get our outdoor season kicked off this weekend," said Director of Track & Field Curt Kraft. "We've had some time off since our indoor championships to get rested up. After a long, indoor season, it's good to get healed up and get ready to go once again."

The Pirates enter the outdoor season after a successful indoor season that saw changes made to the program top-10 lists and was capped with Jared Harrell's Freshman of the Year outing, leading a group of three ECU athletes to All-Conference honors with Royal Burris and Naadiya Faison.

"We are going to see some great competition this weekend at both sites," continued Kraft. "It's really important that we get off to a great start so that we can create some momentum going into the outdoor season for the rest of the year. Everyone has worked hard and and they are ready to see some results."
