GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina women's basketball team is set to host Furman on Thursday at 6 p.m. in Minges Coliseum. Single game tickets are available for purchase now and for fans unable to attend, the game will be available for streaming on ESPN+.

Last Time Out
The Pirates came up short in a comeback effort in a six-point loss at James Madison on Sunday. Jayla Hearp led the team with 15 points on the day while MyMy Joyner contributed her first double-double of the season with 14 points and 12 rebounds. No other Pirates scored in double figures as the team struggled to 51 points on 27.9 percent from the field. JMU was led by Peyton McDaniel's 17 points and 14 boards in their win.

Scouting Furman
The Paladins enter the game with a 2-1 record following wins over South Carolina State and Erskine and a loss on the road at SEC foe Georgia. Kate Johnson is leading the team in scoring thus far on the season with 14.0 points per contest while Tate Walters and Sydney Ryan both average double figures as well. Clare Coyle leads the team rebounding with 9.0 per contest.

The Pirates and Paladins have only met three times across their histories with meetings during the 1989-90, 1993-94 and 1995-96 seasons. Furman leads 2-1 among those meetings with the Pirates taking a 71-59 victory in the most recent matchup.
