ECU Athletics Announces Pirate Club Priority Points For NIL Contributions To Team Boneyard
November 04, 2024 | General
GREENVILLE, NC. – ECU Director of Athletics Jon Gilbert announced Monday that contributors to Team Boneyard will now be awarded Pirate Club priority points, a move aimed at further supporting Pirate student-athletes through NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) initiatives.
Â
"We are fortunate and thankful to the many individuals and businesses who have collectively donated millions of dollars to Team Boneyard over the past couple of years," Gilbert said. "It is vital that we continue to support and fund all NIL initiatives so we can recruit the top student-athletes to ECU. With the ever-changing collegiate landscape, we are excited to partner with Team Boneyard to reward our Pirate Club members for their loyal and committed support of our student-athletes."
Â
Donors contributing to Team Boneyard between Monday, November 4, and Monday, December 2, will receive an exclusive bonus of triple priority points. For example, if you donate $100 during this time period, you will receive six instead of the standard two priority points. After December 2, Pirate Club members will receive the standard two points for every $100 contributed.
Â
The Pirate Club would like to thank donors who have already supported Team Boneyard by offering retroactive points.
Â
Anyone who makes a new donation to Team Boneyard prior to the December 2 deadline will not only receive TRIPLE priority points for their new gift amount; they will also receive priority points at the standard rate for any amount they donated over the past year (November 4, 2023 – November 3, 2024). Previous donations to Team Boneyard through Paypal, Givebutter, Parents for Public Schools of Pitt County, The 23 Club and checks written to Team Boneyard will all qualify for retroactive points when a new gift is given. Tickets and/or tables purchased for Team Boneyard events do not qualify for priority points.
Â
Pirate Club priority points are a valuable benefit for members, helping improve their ranking and offering enhanced seat and parking allocation options for football, men's and women's basketball and baseball. Football reseating will be implemented prior to the 2025 football season.
Â
Team Boneyard was launched in 2022 by a dedicated group of ECU alumni, donors, fans and former athletes. Run by volunteers, Team Boneyard has collaborated with numerous Pirate student-athletes, providing compensation for unique opportunities centered on their name, image and likeness.
Â
Team Boneyard has multiple options to contribute including monthly payments. When donating you have the ability to direct your gift to any ECU sports program. For more information and to donate, please visit Team Boneyard or contact the Pirate Club at (252) 737-4540.
