
Guzman Repeats As AAC Diver Of The Week

IRVING, Texas – For the second time this fall, East Carolina redshirt junior Frida Zuniga Guzman has been named the American Athletic Conference Diving Athlete of the Week according to an announcement by the league office Tuesday afternoon.

Guzman, the reigning diver of the week, took first place in both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives in a dual meet against Richmond and Pennsylvania on Friday, Nov. 1. She posted point totals of 290.75 and 300.30 taking top honors.

The selection is the fourth career AAC honor for Guzman and the second time that she has won back-to-back accolades (January 23rd and January 30th of 2024). Since the start of the 2024-25 season, Guzman and junior Sara Kalawska (swimming) have earned weekly honors.
