Columbia, S.C. –  The East Carolina men's basketball team will look to bounce back this weekend as the Pirates travel to Columbia for their first true road game of the season against South Carolina on Saturday.Â
The game is set for a 2 p.m. tip time and will be streamed via SEC Network+ and ESPN+ with Dave Weinstein (play-by-play) and John Williams (analyst) on the call with Cade Crenshaw (sideline reporter) on the baseline. Pirate fans can also tune in to 107.9 WNCT FM and the IBX app to hear Daron Vaught call the action.Â
The Pirates are led in scoring by All-Conference senior guard RJ Felton's 19.2 points per game, which is top five in the conference and the Aiken native adds 7.1 rebounds per game. C.J. Walker (17.3 ppg, 6.8 rpg) and Jordan Riley (13.2 ppg, 6.2 rpg) round out the Pirates' double-figure scorers. ECU will play a true road game against an SEC opponent for the first time in over 20 years on Saturday as the Pirates last road contest versus an SEC foe was on Jan. 3, 2004 at Ole Miss that ECU lost, 65-49. The Gamecocks enter Saturday's contest on a two-game winning streak after defeating Boston College on the road, 73-51, behind a double-double from Collin Murray-Boyles (16 points, 14 rebounds). South Carolina has three players that average double figures in scoring in Murray-Boyles (15.5 ppg), Jamarii Thomas (11.5 ppg) and Jacobi Wright (11.3 ppg).

South Carolina leads the all-time series with East Carolina 7-6 as the Gamecocks escaped Minges last season with a 68-62 win. Saturday's game will mark the first time the Pirates have played in Columbia since Dec. 19, 1998 when ECU defeated South Carolina 56-34.
