GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina women's basketball team is set to host Memphis at 2 p.m. on Saturday in Minges Coliseum. For fans unable to attend the game will be available for streaming on ESPN+ with Evan Budrovich and Debbie Taylor on the call.

Last Time Out
The Pirates struggled to an 18 point loss at Rice on Wednesday. Danae McNeal and Amiya Joyner posted 22 and 19 points, respectively, but the team shot just 2-13 from three and committed 23 fouls to send the Owls to the stripe 25 times in the game. Playing shorthanded, the Pirates were ultimately unable to weather the depth and energy of a surging Rice squad.

Scouting Charlotte
The Tigers are continuing to work through some growing pains under first-year head coach Alex Simmons as they dropped their last contest to Charlotte on the road on Wednesday. Madison Griggs is still doing her thing with 17.0 points per game and a 35-percent clip from three-point range on nearly 200 attempts from deep. Griggs is getting help from Alasia Smith who is averaging just under a double-double, but the team is allowing north of 70 points per game on nearly 45 percent from the field for their opponents.

Series History
The Pirates' and Tigers' series got another thrilling episode last time out as Danae McNeal made a runner with under 20 seconds remaining to win the game before Tatyana Wyche blocked Memphis' desperation three-point attempt at the buzzer. The win gave the Pirates two-straight in the series and a 22-20 edge all time.
