GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina women's basketball team is set to head into the Super Pit on Tuesday to take on the North Texas Mean Green. The game is set for 7:30 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on ESPN+ with John Liddle and Brian Burton on the call.

Last Time Out
The Pirates opened up a 21-point lead in the first half against SMU before holding off a furious comeback in the second half for a double-digit win. Danae McNeal paced the Pirates with 22 points while Amiya Joyner and Tatyana Wyche became the first ECU teammates to record double-doubles in the same game since Feb. 22, 2017 as they posted 15 points/12 rebounds and 11 points/13 rebounds, respectively. Joyner is now averaging just 0.4 rebounds short of a double-double per game in conference play.

Scouting South Florida
The Mean Green thumped UAB in their last outing, 95-77. Tommisha Lampkin and DesiRay Kernal were spectacular with 25 and 24 points. That duo has led the charge all season, both players averaging over 15 points and over eight rebounds per game. Additionally, Kernal has posted 41 steals and Lampkin has blocked 32 shots while also snagging 25 steals of her own.

Series History
The series between East Carolina and North Texas is a short one with just one meeting all time. That came back in 2014 during the programs' one-year overlap in CUSA. It was a 56-49 win for the Pirates that day in Minges Coliseum. Jada Payne led all scorers with 24 points while grabbing seven rebounds in the contest. Abria Trice added 17 points and seven boards herself for the Pirates.
