GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina men's basketball team returns to its home court this week as the Pirates gear up to host Memphis on Thursday night inside Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum.

The game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. ET tip and will be televised on ESPN2 with Kevin Brown (play-by-play) and Mark Adams (analyst) on the call. Thursday's game can also be heard on the ECU Sports Network 107.9 FM or 9.43 The Game with Daron Vaught (play-by-play) and Michael Perry (analyst) handling broadcasting duties.

Last Time Out
RJ Felton scored 15 points, but East Carolina could not overcome a hot-shooting afternoon from Travis Evee and Rice as the Pirates fell to the Owls 70-52 on Saturday afternoon at Tudor Fieldhouse. Jaden Walker added seven points and Brandon Johnson and Ezra Ausar each scored six for the Pirates (14-13, 7-7 AAC) who saw their three-game winning streak snapped.

Scouting the Tigers
Memphis is coming off a 78-74 win at home over preseason favorite Florida Atlantic behind 46 combined points from David Jones and Nae'Quan Tomlin. Tomlin's 21-point performance led to the senior earning Player of the Week honors from the AAC and the Harlem native has scored in double figures eight times in the last nine games. David Jones leads Memphis in scoring with 21.7 points per game (1st in AAC) and adds 7.5 rebounds per night. Jahvon Quinerly adds 13.4 points per contest and leads the team in assists with 4.9. The Tigers are 12-4 this season when Quinerly records at least five assists in a game. The Tigers are one of the top offensive teams in the American, ranking third in scoring offense (80 ppg), fourth in field goal percentage (45.9) and fifth in three-point percentage (34.8).

Series History
Memphis leads the all-time series with East Carolina 25-5 as the Tigers have won eight of the last nine meetings including last season in Memphis where the Pirates fell 69-59 behind a season-high 22 turnovers. The last time the Tigers visited Minges Coliseum the Pirates downed Memphis 72-71 on a buzzer-beater. Memphis is 3-10 all-time in Greenville.

ECU is 1-4 in games played on Feb. 29 since the 1960-61 season with the last game on this date coming during the 2019-20 season when ECU fell 84-63 at home to UConn.
