Pirates Pick Up Two Wins At Cutter Creek Match Play

Snow Hill, N.C. – The East Carolina women's golf team earned team honors at the Cutter Creek Match Play on Friday, going 2-0 on the day as the Pirates won three matches and tied the other two in their morning matchups while going 4-0-1 in the afternoon.
The one-day, match play event was held at the par-72, 6,419-yard Cutter Creek Golf Club.
Oda Sofie Kilsti and Macie Burcham each won their respective matchups while Danielle Modder, Marta Perez and Ella Stalvey won or tied their matchups.
"Match play is a very different competition format for us compared to normal stroke play competitions," director of golf Kevin Williams said. "Very exciting, lots of momentum swings and I thought our team handled it with a lot of poise. It is harder than you think to get to 3 points to get a team win and grabbing two wins today was great. Look forward to the preparation the next two weeks as we get ready for our last regular season competition with our home tournament at Ironwood April 1-2."
Nicole Nash swept the Purple Bracket while Andrea Miralles won both matchups in the Gold Bracket and Zoe Allaux earned two wins in the White Bracket.
