Denton, Texas – The East Carolina men's basketball team is set to embark on its two-game swing trip to Texas as the Pirates will visit The Super Pit to face North Texas on Sunday afternoon.

Tip-off is set for 3 p.m. ET and the game will be streamed via ESPN+ with Kyle Youmans (play-by-play) and DJ Draper (analyst) on the call. Sunday's game can also be heard on 94.3 The Game with Daron Vaught (play-by-play) and Michael Perry (analyst) handling broadcasting duties.

RJ Felton leads East Carolina with 16.6 points per game (6th in AAC) and has scored 10 or more points in 20 consecutive games while Brandon Johnson and Ezra Ausar round out the Pirates' top scorers with 13.8 and 11.7 points per game respectively.

RJ Felton scored 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds, but East Carolina could not get back in the win column as the Pirates fell to Memphis 82-58 on Thursday evening inside Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum. Brandon Johnson added 16 points and eight boards for the Pirates (14-14, 7-8 AAC) but the rest of the team outside of Johnson and Felton combined for just 23 points on 9-of-40 shooting from the floor.

North Texas enters Sunday coming off an 80-76 win over Tulane on the road to snap a two-game skid of their own behind five players in double figures led by Aaron Scott's 19 points. The Mean Green hold one of the best home records in the American at 10-3 but have dropped three of their last four home contests. Jason Edwards leads North Texas in scoring with 18.6 points per game on 42 percent shooting. Aaron Scott and Rubin Jones provide additional scoring with 11.8 and 11.7 points per game respectively. The Mean Green are one of the stingiest defenses in the country, ranking sixth in scoring defense at 61.8 points allowed (1st in AAC) and 16th in field goal percentage defense at 40 percent (1st in AAC).

North Texas leads the all-time series with East Carolina 3-1 after defeating the Pirates 60-59 in Greenville on Jan. 17 this season. Sunday will mark the Pirates' second game in Denton as ECU dropped the first contest there back on Feb. 15, 2014, falling 53-51.
