GREENVILLE, N.C. – East Carolina captured the doubles point and five of six singles matches to dispatch UNC Greensboro 6-1 Thursday afternoon at the River Birch Tennis Center.

The Pirates have won three of their last four dual matches and have four remaining before the American Athletic Conference Championship in Dallas April 17-21.

Ines Bachir and Alisha Hussain claimed a 6-0 win on court one in doubles play before Martina Muzzolon and Kexuan Zhou picked up a 6-4 victory on court two to clinch the point.

ECU swept each bout at the No. 2-6 positions in singles play to leave no doubt. The Spartans' only point occurred on court one where Arina Babkova notched a three-set win over Kim Auerswald.

Up Next: The Pirates return to action March 29 when they head up to Richmond for a match with the Spiders.
