
Three Named to CSC Academic All-District Women's Basketball Team

GREENVILLE, N.C. - East Carolina women's basketball's Morgan Moseley, Bobbi Smith and Tatyana Wyche have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-Disctrict Team, the organization announced Monday.Â
The 2023-24 Academic All-District® Women's Basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
It is the first such honor for each player and is earned by achieving excellence in the classroom and on the court. To be eligible, athletes but have a 3.50 GPA or greater and play in 90 percent of their team's games - or start 66 percent of those contests.
Moseley, a senior Exercise Physiology major with a 3.64 GPA, appeared in 32 games for the Pirates this season and posted 107 points and 72 rebounds in just over 16 minutes per game.
Smith, a sophomore Public Health major with a 3.66 GPA, appeared in all 33 games this season while stepping in to play the backup point guard role and shooting over 40 percent from three-point range in 17.5 minutes per game.
Lastly, Wyche, a junior Communication Major with a 3.59 GPA, appeared in 30 games and made 26 starts on the year while posting an impressive 6.8 points and 6.4 rebounds per game in nearly 25 minutes per contest.
