GREENVILLE, N.C. – East Carolina registered its second-straight shutout Saturday afternoon to end the regular season, knocking off Norfolk State 4-0 at the River Birch Tennis Center.

The Pirates will take a three-game winning streak into the American Athletic Conference Championship which is scheduled for April 17-21 at the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex in Dallas, Texas. The full bracket will be released Monday.

Anne Lou Champion and Brooke LaFrenz picked up a 6-1 victory on court three before Ines Bachir and Alisha Hussain managed a 6-4 triumph on court one to seal the doubles point for ECU. The Pirates then collected a trio of straight-set wins in singles play from Champion, Kexuan Zhou and Joan Madi to wrap up the sweep.
