GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina women's basketball team will be back in Minges Coliseum for a Saturday afternoon affair with the Tulane Green Wave. The game is set for a 2 p.m. tip off and tickets are still available for purchase.
For those unable to attend, the game will be available for streaming on ESPN+ with Evan Budrovich and Brittany Hoyt on the call.
The Pirates will be looking to notch their first American Athletic Conference win of the season and to cool a hot-shooting Tulane team on what is set to be an icy weekend in North Carolina.

Last Time Out
The Pirates dropped their third straight with a frustrating loss to Florida Atlantic at home last Saturday. Runs of 13-0 and 12-0 by the Owls in the second half doomed the Pirates as the hosts were held under 50 points for the fourth time of the season. Amiya Joyner led the team with 15 points and nine rebounds but it was not enough to overcome Mya Perry's 29-point day.
Scouting Tulane
The Green Wave enter the game at 10-5 with a stout 3-1 league record after defeating North Texas last time out. Sherese Pittman posted 20 points and nine rebounds in the victory, echoing a similar story to the team's season averages as Pittman paces the squad with 13.1 points and 6.8 boards per contest. In total, five Tulane players are scoring in double figures on the season with Kyren Whittington and Amira Mabry both pouring in greater than a dozen points per game. True to their well-spread scoring, the team averages 71.2 points per game as a team on a 42 percent shooting clip from the field and 33 percent from three.
Series History
The Pirates and Green Wave have met over 30 times since 1986 with a 22-11 lead in the series for Tulane. More recently, the teams are even at 4-4 in the Kim McNeill era despite the Green Wave taking an 81-55 victory in New Orleans last season. Hannah Pratt led the hosts in scoring that day with 26 points on a remarkable eight made threes.
The Good, The Bad and the Basketball
The Pirates find themselves on divergent ends of the NCAA rankings in a few statistics. On the good end, the Pirates rank 16th in the nation with 15.9 offensive rebounds per game while still ranking top 50 in turnovers forced per game. On the bad, the team is at the national nadir in turnovers per game (339th) and three pointers made per game (330th). If the team finds a way to limit the turnovers and convert on the offensive glass, look out.
