Buies Creek, N.C. – The East Carolina women's swimming team turned in a dominant performance on Saturday, winning 27 of 28 events and defeating both Campbell and UNC Asheville in tri-meet action at the Johnson Aquatic Center.
ECU defeated UNC Asheville 191-70 and bested Campbell by a score of 198-63 in swim only competition.Â
Freshman Tanith Mueller continued to impress in her first collegiate season, winning the 200-yard medley relay along with Carlie Clements, Heidi Bruining and Mikayla Durkin while placing first in the 100-yard fly (57.78) and the 200-yard fly (2:06.29).
"Had a good day, lots of event wins," head coach Matthew Jabs said. "We got to mix up the lineup and see some great races. October is one of our most difficult training months and the team is handling it better and better each week."
