Pirates Set for American Conference Individual Tennis Championships

GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina women's tennis team is set to compete at the American Conference Individual Tennis Championships running Thursday through Sunday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Okla.

The Pirates will have two individuals and one doubles team competing with Kim Auerswald and Ivona Savekova earning spots in the in the singles bracket and Auerswald and Reese Calvo competing in the doubles bracket.

Championship Information
Competitors and tandems will be seeded based on national rankings. Each team will send two singles competitors and one doubles tandem. Singles matches will be best-of-three sets with no-ad scoring and tiebreaks at 6-all. Doubles matches will be played as an eight-game pro set until the semifinals, with the semifinals and final consisting of a best-of-three sets with a 10-point tiebreaker in lieu of a third set.

The singles and doubles tournament champions will represent the American at the ITA Conference Masters Championships Nov. 6-9 in San Diego.
