
Forss And ECU Win Pirate Collegiate Classic

GREENVILLE, N.C. ā Lisa Forss claimed her first collegiate while East Carolina won the team title behind record performances at the Pirate Collegiate Classic. The two-day, 54-hole event was being held at Greenville Country Club (par-72, 5,944 yards).

Forss, who set the program 18-hole record with a 10-under par second round of 62, fired a 1-under par 71 finishing the event with a new school record 54-hole total of 204 (12-under). The outing bested the previous mark that was set 13 years ago by Frida Gustafsson Spang (206) at the UNCG Starmount.

The Pirates claimed their first tournament title of the 2025-26 campaign shooting a final round of 282 (6-under) and posted the second-lowest tournament score in program history with a 16-under 848. High Point finished second (853/11-under) and Louisville placed third (870/6-over).

Nicole Nash finished second with a score of 209 (7-under) following rounds of 72, 72 and 65 with the third round becoming a new career-low round. For Nash, it was her first top two finish of the season and third Top 10 placement. Playing as individuals, Isabella Taylor-Stokes and Macie Burcham claimed a share of 10th place with scores of 215 (1-under) giving the Pirates four Top 10 finishes in the event.

Karsyn Roberts (individual) posted a 3-over par 219 for a share of 21st, while Marta Perez tied for 24th after carding a 4-over par 220. Rounding out the Pirates' roster were Ella Stalvey (222/6-over) and Danielle Modder (223/7-over) claiming shares of 30th and 37th place.

The Pirates will return to action on Oct. 27 when they participate in the Edisto Island Intercollegiate in Edisto Island, S.C.
