Volleyball Hosts UAB and Memphis for Last Weekend of Conference Play
November 13, 2025 | Volleyball
GREENVILLE, N.C. – East Carolina volleyball returns to Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum this weekend for its final home stand of the regular season, hosting UAB on November 14 and Memphis on November 16. The Pirates (11-14, 3-11 American) look to close out their home slate strong and build momentum heading into the final weekend of conference play.
UAB enters the weekend with a 12-14 overall record and a 5-9 mark in conference. The Blazers are playing their best volleyball of the season, riding a four-match win streak with victories over Tulane, Memphis (twice), and second-place South Florida. After opening conference play with six straight losses, UAB has turned the corner offensively, posting a .300 hitting percentage in its upset over USF while recording 60 kills in that match. Statistically, the Blazers ranked third in the American in team hitting percentage (.239) and ranked second in service aces, averaging 1.60 per set. Jordan Cook has been the spark on offense, leading the team with 352 kills this season, while Delaney Bowser provides balance in the back row with a team-best 34 aces and 265 digs.
Memphis enters the weekend at 10-19 overall with a 1-13 record in conference play. The Tigers have faced challenges throughout American play, earning their lone conference win against Tulane back in late September. Despite the record, Memphis brings a roster capable of making plays on both sides of the ball. Zaniah Hoskins continues to be a standout for the Tigers, leading the team in kills (285) while tying for the team lead in service aces (29). She's also second in digs (217) and third in total blocks (38.0), making her one of Memphis' most versatile contributors.
As the Pirates close on conference play, both matches will be available on ESPN+.
