GREENVILLE, N.C. – East Carolina returns home this Friday evening as the Pirates will look to bounce back against Charleston Southern inside Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum.
Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m. and the game will be streamed on ESPN+ with Patrick Johnson (play-by-play) and Jay Sonnhalter (analyst) on the call and Matison Little (sideline) on the baseline. Pirate fans can also tune in to 107.9 WNCT FM, 94.3 The Game and the IBX app to hear Daron Vaught call the action.
Jordan Riley leads the Pirates in scoring with 19.7 points per game while Giovanni Emejuru anchors the interior for ECU with 16.8 points and 9.3 rebounds and was named American Conference Honorable Mention on Monday. Tybo Bailey rounds out ECU's scorers averaging double figures with 10.3 points per night.

Jordan Riley scored a team-high 19 points, but East Carolina fell at Trask Coliseum to UNCW, 85-60, on Tuesday evening.
Scouting the Buccaneers
Charleston Southern comes into Friday's contest off of a 103-91 win against IU Indy on Tuesday behind 17 made three-pointers. The Buccaneers had two 20-point scorers in A'lahn Sumler (29 points) and Armari Carraway (24 points) while Brycen Blaine added a double-double (19 points and 10 rebounds). Blaine leads CSU's offense with 23.2 points per game (10th in NCAA). CSU has made 10 or more threes in five of their six games this season.

Series History
East Carolina leads the all-time series with Charleston Southern 7-1, but Friday night will be the first meeting in the series since Feb. 12, 1983, when the Pirates won in Charleston, 73-59. ECU is 4-1 all-time against the Buccaneers in Greenville.

ECU is 5-4 in games played on Nov. 21 with the last game on this date coming in just last season in the Boardwalk Battle when the Pirates fell to Jacksonville State, 86-78.
