GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina women's basketball team hosts its second of two Education Day games on Wednesday at 11 a.m. as they welcome the Wofford Terriers to Minges Coliseum.
The game will be available for streaming on ESPN+ with Evan Budrovich, Brittany Hoyt and Matison Little on the call.
Last Time Out
The Pirates used a strong fourth quarter to blow past UNC Asheville for a 14-point win, 75-61, on Sunday afternoon. The game featured 10 lead changes and eight ties, but it was an early 9-0 run in the fourth quarter that gave ECU a lead they would not relinquish. The team made their final eight shots of the game to expand the margin, pushing the lead to its final margin in the final minute. Taylor Barner used an 11-point fourth quarter to lead the team with 20 points while Keanna Rembert added 19 of her own. Kennedy Fauntleroy had a do-it-all kind of game with nine points, five assists and five steals.
Scouting Wofford
The Terriers enter the game with a 4-6 record after dropping a contest against a nationally ranked Ole Miss squad on Saturday. The team is led by Queen Ikhiuwu's 14.1 points per game, pacing three players scoring in double figures with two more players averaging 9.7-or-more points per game. Ikhiuwu also leads the team in rebounding with 6.8 boards per game. As a team, Wofford is excellent at taking care of the ball, ranking 66th nationally in turnovers per game.
The Pirates and Terriers have two common opponents, High Point and UNC Asheville. Wofford defeated UNC Asheville, 80-54, and lost narrowly to High Point, 81-73.
Series History
Wednesday will be the first ever meeting between East Carolina and Wofford.

Senior forward Keanna Rembert earned American Conference Weekly Honorable mention nod after posting 19 points on 7-11 from the field and five rebounds against UNC Asheville.

Through 10 games, the Pirates rank 29th in free throws made per game (16.0), 31st in the NCAA in turnover margin (+6.64) and 30th in turnovers forced per game (22.0). Individually, Kennedy Fauntleroy ranks 15th in the nation in steals with 35.
UNC Asheville Game Notables
- There were 10 lead changes and eight ties in the game.
- ECU led by as many as 14, the final margin, and UNC Asheville led by as many as seven (4:07 in the 2nd)
- ECU went on a 9-0 run in the fourth quarter to take the lead for good, going up by seven points.

2025-26 is the Pirates' seventh under the tutelage of Kim McNeill. The program has an 91-97 record under her leadership.

Each season the Pirates choose an important word, meaningful to the team, to put on the back of their practice jerseys. In 2025-26, the team chose the word "Reclaim", signifying the group's goals after a turbulent 2024-25 of returning to their roots as a defensive minded team, getting back to their standards as role models in the community and striving for excellence in the classroom.
