
Pirates Set to Split for Two Meets Friday and Saturday

GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina track & field team will send athletes to Norfolk, Va. and Clemson, S.C. for the Indoor Pre-Nationals meet hosted by Norfolk State and Tiger Paw Invitational hosted by Clemson on Friday and Saturday.

The Pirates will be looking to put the finishing touches on what has been a record-breaking regular season with only this one remaining week of competition prior to the American Athletic Conference Indoor Championships on Feb. 28-March 1 in Birmingham, Ala.

The team has broken or matched four program records to date in the regular season and have six marks which rank in the top 50 in the NCAA in 2025. Freshman Kelly Ufodiama highlights this list with records at 60m and 200m while her 200m time of 22.99 currently ranks eighth nationally. The top 16 athletes in each individual event qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships on March 14-15 in Virginia Beach, Va.
