Pirates Tie For Fifth At Briar's Creek Invitational

Spring Island, S.C. – The East Carolina women's golf team wrapped up competition in the Briar's Creek Invitational with a fifth-place tie, shooting 10-over par 586 as a team.
The two-day tournament was contested at the par-72, 6,152-yard Briar's Creek Golf Course. Due to weather, the third round of the tournament was canceled.
Andrea Miralles led the way for ECU, shooting one-over par 145 to tie for 17th. Zoe Allaux tied for 25th with a final scorecard of two-over par 146. Danielle Modder tied for 28th (+3 par 147), Marta Perez tied for 45th (+7, 151) and Ella Stalvey tied at 70th (+11, 155) to round out the Pirates' lineup.
"Proud of the resilience of the team this week in unconventional tournament conditions," assistant coach Kathryn Carson said. "The Pirates trusted and executed their game plan, even without the opportunity to play a practice round. A huge step in the right direction as we prepare for the remainder of the season!"Â
Florida State captured team honors with a final scorecard of nine-under par 567.
