NORFOLK, Va. – The East Carolina women's tennis team won its second-straight match, defeating host Norfolk State by a 5-2 score Thursday afternoon at the NSU Tennis Complex.

Ines Bachir and Xenia Jeromin took care of things on court one in doubles play with a 6-1 victory before Anne Lou Champion and Martina Muzzolon clinched the point with a 6-4 win at the No. 3 position.

The Spartans would pull two points back in singles play with triumphs on courts one and two, but Isabella Rivera Ortiz, Champion, Joan Madi and Jeromin swept the decisions at the No. 3-6 positions to send the Pirates out with the dual victory.
