BOONE, N.C. – Despite taking the doubles point Sunday afternoon, East Carolina was unable to finish off host Appalachian State as the Mountaineers rallied for a 4-1 victory at the App State Tennis Courts.

Ines Bachir and Xenia Jeromin provided the highlight of the day, recording a win over the No. 87 ranked doubles pair of Naledi Manyube and Olwyn Ryan-Bovey by a 7-5 margin. Anne Lou Champion and Martina Muzzolon also emerged victorious on court three with a 6-0 triumph to clinch the point for the Pirates.

The Mountaineers surged ahead in singles play and swept courts three through six to seal the match.
