
Five Former Pirates Named To MLB Spring Breakout Rosters

GREENVILLE, N.C. – Five former East Carolina baseball standouts will participate in the second annual Major League Baseball Spring Breakout according to a release of the event rosters by the organization Thursday afternoon.

Trey Yesavage (Toronto), Josh Moylan (New York Yankees), Carson Whisenhunt (San Francisco), Zach Agnos (Colorado) and Tyler Bradt (St. Louis) are all slated to take part in the showcase, which runs from March 13-16. Yesavage is currently ranked the No. 2 prospect in the Toronto organization as well as No. 87 on MLB Pipeline's Top 100 prospects list while Whisenhunt checks in at No. 2 in the Giants organization and Agnos slots No. 28 for the Rockies.

The second annual edition of Spring Breakout features hundreds of the top prospects from around the league. The rosters are stacked, highlighted by 72 players on MLB Pipeline's Top 100 Prospects list and nearly two-thirds of the 900 players on the organizational Top 30 lists. Eighteen No. 1 prospects are scheduled to participate, as are 21 players ranked No. 2 in their respective organizations.

All 16 contests will take place in the Grapefruit and Cactus Leagues and will be streamed live and blackout-free on MLB's digital platforms (MLB.com, MLB.TV and the MLB app) and partner platforms. Eight games will air live on MLB Network, with the other eight being shown on tape-delay basis.
