
ECU Cards Second Place Finish At Ironwood Invitational

GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina women's golf team finished second out of 16 teams to conclude its regular season on Tuesday afternoon in the Ironwood Invitational.
The two-day tournament was contested at the par-72, 6,481-yard Ironwood Golf and Country Club.
ECU shot 17-over par 881 as a team, finishing six strokes behind tournament champion Virginia Tech, who shot 11-over par 875. Both teams exchanged the top spot on the leaderboard multiple times Tuesday before the Hokies were able to pull away in the latter stages of the round.
"Very proud of our team's performance!" director of golf Kevin Williams said. "We played really solid on a hard golf course. Very good prep for the AAC Championship in a couple of weeks."
Nicole Nash led the way for ECU with a top five finish, shooting one-over par 217, to finish fourth. Zoe Allaux carded a sixth-place finish (+2, 218) while Ella Stalvey shot seven-over par 223 to finish at 11th. Danielle Modder (t-24th) and Andrea Miralles (t-33rd) rounded out the Pirates competing as a team.
Marta Perez shot eight-over par 224 as an individual to lead the Pirates, followed by Karsyn Roberts (t-36th), Grayson Warren (48th), Lisa Forss (59th) and Macie Burcham (95th/withdrew in third round).
