
Ufodiama Set for NCAA Outdoor Championships

GREENVILLE, N.C. – East Carolina track & field's Kelly Ufodiama is set to compete at the NCAA Outdoor Championships being held at Oregon's Hayward Field on June 11-14. The rookie is set to compete in both the 100m and 200m.
Live results for the meet will be available via FlashResults.com with broadcasts on the ESPN family of networks and streaming digitally on ESPN+. The women's 100m semifinal is set for 8:25 p.m. ET on Thursday with the 200m to follow at 9:29 p.m. Should Ufodiama advance, the event finals are on Saturday at 9:42 p.m. and 10:37 p.m., respectively.
Ufodiama, a freshman from Round Rock, Texas, enters the meet seeded 25th in the 100m and 11th in the 200m. Her times of 11.13 and 22.54 are both program records.
The sprinter enters the meet after a successful season which saw her earn American Athletic Conference Most Valuable Performer, Freshman of the Year and Most Outstanding Performance recognition. Ufodiama earned her way to Eugene thanks for a sixth-place finish in the 100m and a second-place effort in the 200m at the NCAA East First Round in Jacksonville, Fla.
Ufodiama's participation in the event marks back-to-back years and four times in the last five years for the Pirates with athletes reaching the NCAA Outdoor Championships. Sydni McMcillan finished 17th in the 100m hurdles in 2024.
