July 31, 2025 | Men's Golf
GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina men's golf team will compete in 11 total events, including hosting a tournament in both the fall and spring during the 2025-26 season director of golf/head coach Kevin Williams announced Tuesday.
Â
Once again, the fall slate begins at the Myrtle Beach Golf Trips Intercollegiate (Sept. 7-9) before traveling to Philadelphia, Pa. for the Temple Invitational (Sept. 22-23). The first of two home events follows with the Ironwood Collegiate Classic, which will be played at the Ironwood Golf & Country Golf Club, for two days on Sept. 29 and 30. The fall portion of the schedule concludes at the Elon Phoenix Invitational (Oct. 13-14) in Burlington, N.C. followed by the ODU/Kilmarlic Challenge in Kitty Hawk, N.C. lasting three days from October 26-28.
Â
"Excited to add a couple of new tournaments to our schedule this year," Williams said. "The Temple event at 1912 Club in Philadelphia and Gile-Spratley Collegiate at Independence GC are two great venues and we look forward to the challenge that both will present to our team. Two things that were extremely important to us in scheduling. One, is the ability to host two home tournaments each year so that all our student-athletes get a chance to compete in front of friends and family. We are fortunate to have a third one close to home in the Cutter Creek Intercollegiate, which affords all our student-athletes the same opportunity to compete. Secondly, providing tremendous golf courses for our team to compete on during the school year. Grande Dunes, Alamance CC (a Donald Ross course), Kilmarlic, Wexford and Palmetto GC are all great golf venues, and we are happy to provide these opportunities for our team."
Â
The spring will get underway with consecutive events in South Carolina, first at the Wexford Intercollegiate in Hilton Head (Feb. 16-17) before parrticipating in the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Invitational in Aiken (March 9-10). The Pirates will host the ECU Intercollegiate at the Brook Valley Country Club (March 16-17) and then head to Snow Hill for the Cutter Creek Intercollegiate (March 27-29). ECU will close out the regular season in Richmond, Va. Participating in the Gile-Spratley Collegiate (April 6-7).
The 2026 American Conference Championships will be held at the Ritz Carlton Members Club in Sarasota, Fla. From April 27-29, with the NCAA Regionals set for May 18-20 at six different host sites across the country, The NCAA Championship will be contested at the Champions Course at Omni La Costa Resort and Spa from May 23-28 in Carlsbad, Calif.
Â
ECU returns seven players from a year ago in seniors Philip Linberg Bondestad and Davis DeLille, juniors Adam Lennermark, Drew O'Neal and Nathan O'Neal as well as sophomores Luke Mosley and Holden Rucker. The Pirates also welcome in two freshmen Oscar Crowe and Josh Davies to round out the nine-man team.
