GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina women's basketball team gets another key opportunity on the road in American Conference play at UAB on Saturday at noon in Bartow Arena.
The game will be available for streaming on ESPN+.

Last Time Out
The Pirates shook off a slow start to take down UTSA on the road on Tuesday, 65-58. Keanna Rembert starred in the game with 21 points for her seconds 20-point outing of the season. The team trailed 10-2 in the early minutes but bounced back, taking the lead in the second half and pulling away late for the result. ECU led by as many as a dozen in the fourth quarter, holding off a feisty UTSA side in the final minutes.
Scouting UAB
The Blazers enter the game at 7-12 with an 0-7 start to American Conference play after dropping a 72-59 decision to North Texas on Tuesday evening. On the year, the team has five players scoring in double figures, paced by Cali Smallwood with 14.1 points and 4.1 rebounds per game. Monae' Duffy leads the team in rebounding with 7.6 per outing to go with her 10.4 points. As a team, the Blazers can flat out shoot. They rank 36th in the nation in three point percentage and three pointers made per game, as well as being in the top 100 in the NCAA in assists, assist/turnover ratio, field goal percentage, and free throw percentage. On the flip side, UAB ranks in the 300s nationally in rebound margin, steals, blocks and three point percentage defense.
Series History
The Pirates and Blazers have met 28 times overall, with ECU leading 17-11, and got an all timer in their first meeting this season on January 30. The overtime contest saw Keanna Rembert bank in a game-winning three with just 2.5 seconds remaining to secure an 88-87 win for ECU. Rembert starred in the game with 27 points and 11 rebounds. Both teams blew double-digit leads in the game and ECU erased a six-point deficit in overtime to roar back for the win.
