
Pirates Complete First Spring Event Of 2026 At UCF Challenge

ORLANDO, Fla. – East Carolina completed its first event of the spring schedule finishing in 13th place (out of 16 teams) at the UCF Challenge with a score of 898. The three day, 54-hole event was being held at the par 72, 6,392-yard Eagle Creek Golf Club.

Junior Nicole Nash posted a tournament score of 221 (5-over) shooting rounds of 69, 77 and 75 for a share of 47th place. After opening round action, Nash stood among the leaders with a 3-under par 69 with six birdies. Senior Danielle Modder (77-73-73) and graduate student Marta Perez (74-74-75) both shot scores of 223 (7-over) finishing tied for 56th.

Playing as an individual, junior Ella Stalvey shot a 10-over par 226 (76-75-75) claiming a share of 68th place, while sophomore Lisa Forss (77-76-80) posted a score of 233 (17-over) finished tied for 86th and redshirt sophomore Macie Burcham carded a score of 239 (75-79-85, 23-over) placing 92nd.

Seventh-ranked Auburn (840/-24) claimed the team title finishing four shots ahead of No. 18 Mississippi State (844/-20). Rounding out the Top 5 were host No. 12 UCF (849) followed by No. 21 Baylor (854) and Penn State (859).

The Pirates return to action on Monday, March 2 when they participate in the Daniel Island Invitational in Charleston, S.C.
