
ECU Finishs Sixth At Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate

AIKEN, S.C. – East Carolina carded a tournament score of 857 (17-over) finishing in sixth place at the 29th Annual Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate Tuesday afternoon. The two-day, 54-hole event was being held at the par-70, 6,617-yard Palmetto Golf Course.
Senior Philip Linberg Bondestad paced the Pirates with a score of 211 (1-over) shooting rounds of 73, 68 and 70 recording a share of 14th place, which was his fifth Top 15 finish of the season and seventh Top 25. Junior Drew O'Neal posted a 2-over par 212 (71-70-71) for his second Top 20 placement this year.
Sophomore Luke Mosely finished tied for 27th with a score of 216 (6-over) posting three consecutive rounds of 72. Senior Davis DeLille shot an 8-over 218 (72-72-73) and junior Nathan O'Neal posted an 18-over par 228 (77-73-77) finishing tied for 39th and 58th.
Campbell claimed the team title with a score of 830 (10-under) finishing two shots ahead of UAB (832). Host USCA (839) finished third followed by Mercer (848) and Virginia Tech (850) to round out the Top 5. ECU shot rounds of 289, 282 and 286.
The Pirates return to action on Monday, March 16 when it plays host to the ECU Intercollegiate at the Brook Valley Country Club in Greenville, N.C.
