Ufodiama To Vie For NCAA Crown in Arkansas Friday and Saturday
March 12, 2026 | Track & Field
GREENVILLE, N.C. – East Carolina track & field's Kelly Ufodiama will aim to improve upon her All-America efforts from a season ago at the 2026 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday and Saturday in Fayetteville, Ark.
Â
Ufodiama, a sophomore by way of Round Rock, Texas, enters the meet on the heels of another stellar indoor season which saw her defend her American Conference titles in the 60m and 200m on her way to yet another Most Valuable Performer trophy. With those wins, the sprinter remains undefeated in individual events at conference meets.
Â
She will be taking the blocks in both of those events—the 60m and 200m—in the preliminary rounds on Friday, competing at 5:35 p.m. and 7:45 p.m., respectively. She enters the competition seeded sixth in the 60m and 10th in the 200m with times of 7.14 and 22.61 seconds. Last season, Ufodiama finished eighth in the 200m with an 11th-place finish in the 60m for First Team and Second Team All-American accolades in the two events.
Â
She will enter the national meet in 2026 looking for more. East Carolina has never had an NCAA Champion in track & field, and now Ufodiama will seek to be the first.
Â
Should she advance from prelims, the finals on Saturday are set for 4:30 p.m. for the 60m and 5:30 p.m. for the 200m.
