JOHN'S ISLAND, S.C. – The East Carolina women's golf team shot a 36-hole score of 588 (13-over) finishing in 10th at the Briar's Creek Invitational. The two-day event was being played at the Golf Club at Briar's Creek.

Senior Danielle Modder finished tied for 16th as the Pirates top finisher with a score of 144 (71-73/even). Graduate senior Marta Perez posted a score of 146 (2-over) after rounds of 77 and 69. Junior Nicole Nash (148/4-over) finished tied for 42nd, while junior Ella Stalvey (150/6-over) claimed a share of 56th and Isabella Taylor-Stokes (160/8-over) finished tied for 81st.

Boston College won the team title with a score of 565 (11-under) three shots ahead of No. 12 UCF (568). Forty-third ranked Michigan State (575) finished third followed by No. 45 NC State and Charleston in a tied for fourth after carding a score of 578. ECU, who posted rounds of 301 and 287, finished ahead of Miami (Fla.), Maryland, No. 24 SMU, Iowa and Georgia.

The Pirates return to action on Sunday, March 22 when they participate in the City of Oaks Collegiate in Raleigh, N.C.
