ECU Takes Fourth At City Of Oaks Collegiate

RALEIGH, N.C. – The East Carolina women's golf team shot a tournament score of 908 finishing in fourth at the City of Oaks Collegiate which was being held at the Lonnie Poole Golf Club (par-72, 6,168 yards).

Junior Ella Stalvey paced the Pirates finishing tied for fifth after carding a score of 222 (6-over/74-77-71) registering her first career Top 5 finish. Fellow classmate Nicole Nash claimed a share of 12th place with an 11-over par 227 (77-74-76), while graduate senior Marta Perez finished tied for 14th after her score of 228 (12-over/78-73-77).

Senior Danielle Modder posted a score of 233 (17-over) which consisted of rounds of 73, 78 and 82. Rounding out the starters was Lisa Forss, who finished tied for 65th after carding a 242 (26-over/84-77-81). Playing as an individual was freshman Isabella Taylor-Stokes who shot a 21-over 237 (78-74-85) finishing tied for 52nd.

Host and No. 44 ranked NC State won the team title with a score of 888 (24-over) finishing 13 shots ahead of Rutgers (901). Coastal Carolina (905) placed third followed by ECU (908) and Richmond (914) rounding out the Top 5.

The Pirates return to action on Sunday, April 5 when they host the Ironwood Invitational in Greenville, N.C.
