Birmingham, Ala. – East Carolina hits the road and looks to potentially extend its season on Sunday afternoon when the Pirates visit UAB to close out the regular season.Â
The game is slated for a 3 p.m. ET tip time and will be streamed on ESPN+ with Curt Bloom (play-by-play) and Mo Finley (analyst) on the call. Pirate fans can also tune in to 107.9 WNCT FM, 94.3 The Game or download the IBX app to hear Daron Vaught call the action.Â
For the Pirates to extend their stay in Birmingham and compete in next week's American Conference Championship, ECU needs a win over the Blazers and a Memphis loss to Tulane to earn the 10th and final seed while a Memphis win and an ECU loss would end the Pirates' season.
Jordan Riley leads the Pirates and the conference in scoring with 24 points per game which also ranks as second best nationally. Giovanni Emejuru adds 12.8 points and 9.1 rebounds per game and Demitri Gardner averages 10.6 points on 41.1 percent shooting from deep.

Jordan Riley scored a game-high 26 points, but it wasn't enough as East Carolina fell to Tulsa, 93-66, in the home finale on Thursday night inside Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum.

UAB comes into Sunday off of its 10th road win of the year, defeating Charlotte, 80-74 on Wednesday. Four Blazers average double figures, led by Chance Westry's 15.5 points per game and league-best five assists per game. The Blazers have not been the same team at Bartow Arena this season with just a 7-9 record in front of their home fans.

UAB leads the all-time series with East Carolina 15-7 after taking the first meeting this season back in January, 87-85, at Minges in overtime. ECU is 4-7 all-time in Birmingham with the last Pirate win at UAB coming on Feb. 1, 2014 when both clubs were in Conference USA.
