ECU In Sixth At American Conference Championship

SARASOTA, Fla. – The East Carolina men's golf team is in sixth place after completing the second round of play at the American Conference Men's Championship on Tuesday. The three-day event is being held at the par-72, 7,417-yard Ritz-Carlton Members Club.

The Pirates, who entered Tuesday's action tied for fourth, dropped to sixth after shooting a 3-over par 291 and has carded a 36-hole team score of 573 (3-under). Memphis (546) leads the championship after posting a 14-under par 274 and holds a four-shot lead over No. 22 Charlotte (550). Rice (559) is in third followed by South Florida (560) and UAB (567) rounding out the top five.

Drew O'Neal (68-73) is in tie for 15th place with a score of 141 (3-under) with 18 holes remaining. Luke Mosley (144) shot a 3-over par 75 and holds a share of 19th with a two-day total of 144 (even). Philip Linberg Bondestad carded a team-best 1-under par 71 and is tied for 26th place (145), while Nathan O'Neal (146/2over) and Oscar Crowe (147/3-over) are tied for 31st and 37th rounding out the Pirates' starting five.
