July 02, 2026 | Women's Swimming and Diving
GREENVILLE, N.C. – For the 34th consecutive semester, the East Carolina women's swimming and diving team has been named a Scholar All-America Team by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).
The Pirates were one of 714 teams from 418 institutions recognized for their outstanding academic achievement during the spring semester. Collectively, these teams represent 16,680 student-athletes from across all collegiate divisions.
Teams were selected on the basis of their Spring 2026 grade point averages and were required to achieve a team GPA of 3.00 or higher to earn Scholar All-America recognition.
"It is a focus of pride for our program to receive this recognition each semester," head coach Matthew Jabs said. "Our girls work very hard in the pool and equally as hard in the classroom to prepare themselves for life after sport. We have tremendously focused women, who plan to have very successful professional lives, and it shows by our continued academic success. The support we receive from our student development office, staff, and university services in the Pirate Academic success center is outstanding. We are very lucky."
In addition to their success in the classroom, the Pirates posted an 8-3 dual meet record and finished third at the American Conference Championship while Frida Zuniga was named an NCAA All-American and the American Conference Most Outstanding Diver and Carlie Clements earned All-Conference Honors.
