Pirates Place Three On American Conference Watch List

IRVING, Texas – East Carolina midfielder Isabella Gutiérrez, forward Caitlen-Star Dolan Boodram and midfielder AJ Mayock have been named to the American Conference's Soccer Watch List as the league announced the full watch list and preseason coaches' poll on Friday.
The watch list designations for Dolan Boodram and Gutiérrez mark the second straight season that the duo has been named to the conference's watch list while Mayock lands on the list for the first time in her career.
Gutiérrez enters her fifth and final collegiate season after earning second team all-conference honors last year, scoring three goals and adding four assists while starting in every game for the Pirates. She converted on both of her penalty kick attempts and had the second-most points on the team with 10. The Guadalajara, Mexico native's most memorable goal from last year came in the Pirates' 2-1 road victory over UTSA on Oct. 26.
Dolan Boodram returns to lead the Pirates' offensive attack after leading the team in goals and assists with five each and in points with 15 to earn second team all-conference honors. The London, England native's standout game from 2025 was her first career brace against VCU on Aug. 24 when she recorded two goals and an assist in the Pirates' 4-0 win to earn American Conference Honorable Mention.
Mayock started all 18 games for the Pirates in 2025, scoring four goals in 1,357 minutes played. The Round Rock, Texas native recorded her first career brace at UAB on Oct. 12 which led to her receiving American Conference Honorable Mention.
The Pirates were picked seventh in the American's preseason poll with Memphis earning the top spot with 10 first-place votes.
ECU kicks off the 2026 season with a two-game road trip beginning at Liberty on Aug. 13 at 6 p.m.
