Six Men’s Golfers Earn Cobalt Academic Honors

NORMAN, Okla. – East Carolina men's golfers Philip Linberg Bondestad, Davis DeLille, Luke Mosley, Drew O'Neal, Nathan O'Neal and Holden Rucker have been named 2025-26 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars the organization announced Monday.
The six selections are the most in program history besting the four honorees from 2020-21, 2023-24 and 2024-25, while the Pirates have had at least two All-America Scholars in the same year for six-straight campaigns (2021-present). Bondestad garnered his third consecutive honor, while Nathan O'Neal is a two-time selection. The quartet of DeLillie, Mosley, Drew O'Neal and Rucker are first time recipients.
To be eligible for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their associate's degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. In addition, they must participate in 50% of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0 in NCAA Division I, under 78.0 in NCAA Division II, under 79.0 in NCAA Division III, under 78.0 in NAIA, and under 77.0 in NJCAA, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.
Since 1988, 30 golfers have tallied 48 All-American Scholar honors with Bondestad becoming the second Pirate golfer with three selections joining Tyler DeChellis (2023-25). A total of 16 current or former student-athletes have been recognized for two or more years.
