Turner Brown, a four-year letterman and all-conference performer from 2016-19, returned to East Carolina University in August of 2020 and will serve as a graduate manager under head coach Cliff Godwin.

Brown helped the Pirates to 161 wins over his four years (56 in league play), three NCAA Regional post-season berths (two as a national seed), a pair of Super Regional appearances and was member of one of the most productive squads in program history. The 2019, which won a program second-best 47 games, ranks in the Top 10 in nine statistical categories which include total sacrifices (first/96), hit by pitches (first/80), walks (fifth/279), RBI (seventh/402), runs (eighth/435), doubles (t8th/112), hits (ninth/642), total bases (ninth/983) and home runs (t9th/71). ECU won a league-best 20 games on its way to the regular season American Athletic Conference crown and a No. 10 National Seed.

The Whiteville, N.C. native started all 65 games as a senior where he batted .294 (67-for-228) with three home runs, 33 RBI and scored 39 runs on his way to Second-Team All-AAC honors. Brown, a 19th round selection by the Colorado Rockies, tallied 17 multi-hit, seven multi-RBI games and tied a single-game record with a pair of triples against Marist (March 20). During the Greenville Regional Championship Game against Campbell, he drove in the would-be game-winning run on a RBI fielder’s choice in the second inning helping the Pirates reach their fifth Super Regional in program history.

At the close of his career, he stood among the all-time leaders (Top 10) in sacrifices (first/56), starts (second/231), assists (605/third), hit by pitches (36/third), games played (235/sixth) and at-bats (803/ninth). Brown hit at a .269 clip, belted 12 home runs, drove in 126 and scored 127 times.

A three-time AAC All-Academic Team selection (2016, 2018-19) and six-time ECU Director of Athletics Honor Roll member, Brown earned his undergraduate degree in criminal justice (spring 2019) and is currently pursuing his master’s in criminal justice. On Oct. 10, 2020, he married the former Kaitlyn Brown of Whiteville, N.C. and currently resides in Greenville.
