Emma Shappard begins her first year as Director of Operations for East Carolina University Track & Field in 2026.
Sheppard brings a diverse background in collegiate and professional sports operations, facility management and event coordination to the Pirates’ program.
Most recently, she served as Assistant General Manager at Pin Point Raleigh, an indoor pickleball and golf facility. As a key member of the company’s startup team, Sheppard played an integral role in launching its first location, helping develop operational procedures, train staff and establish day-to-day systems. She also contributed to early planning efforts for the expansion to a second Pin Point location in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
In addition to her facility management experience, Sheppard volunteered as Director of Operations for the NC State Icepack, an ACHA hockey program. In that role, she organized game day operations and worked closely with donors and special guests to enhance the overall fan and partner experience, including coordination efforts for the Outdoor College Series at Truist Field.
Sheppard’s collegiate athletics background includes a three-year tenure at Campbell University. She spent two years on the equipment staff as a student before serving as Assistant Director of Football Operations in a graduate assistant role. In that position, she assisted the Director of Operations and Recruiting Coordinator with team travel, game day logistics, recruiting coordination and special events.
She also gained professional experience as a Special Events Intern with the Carolina Hurricanes.
A 2023 graduate of Campbell University, Sheppard earned a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management and a Master of Business Administration.
