Although Ann Hoggard has provided exemplary leadership and service to ECU in her role as an administrative assistant to the head football coach since 2010, her official tenure with Pirates' program began three years earlier and now includes duties through five coaching eras.

After initially accepting an administrative support role for Skip Holtz' offensive coaching staff in 2007, she was promoted to serve as Ruffin McNeill's top aide in 2010 and continued in the same capacity under Scottie Montgomery (2016-18), Mike Houston (2018-24) before her current duties with Blake Harrell.

In addition to providing office support and assisting with budget management, Hoggard has oversight of Harrell's day-to-day calendar, handles requests for speaking engagements and assists with various community relations activities and initiatives. She also plays an integral role as the department's liaison for coaching staff families, while also assisting with annual summer camp logistics and planning.

Hoggard has displayed a strong commitment to continuing education and development with participation in the ECU Administrative Certification Program (2013), ECU Chancellor's Leadership Academy (2014) and ECU Athletic Director's Leadership Academy (2015-16).

Prior to her employment with Pirate Football, Hoggard was an intern with the Dew Action Sports Tour during the summer of 2006 and assisted with event scripts, coordinated awards presentations and served as the director's production assistant.

After earning her bachelor's degree in history from ECU in 2006, the former Ann Coyle married Stuart Hoggard in 2012.

She is a native of Richlands, N.C.
