Dorian Jackson begins his fifth seaÂson at ECU, his third on the Pirates’ football staff and first as assistant diÂrector of operations following two years of service in the team’s player personnel division.

Prior to his move to the football program, Jackson spent two years as the director of creative services, a position he began on June 8, 2015. He was responsible for oversight, coordination and development of all ECU Athletics sales publications, advertising efforts across all platforms, the creation of digitally designed images to support digital and social media directives and serve as a brand manager to ensure consistency in the departÂment’s graphic identity.

Jackson arrived at ECU after nearly two years as a creÂative services and marketing assistant at Old Dominion University, where he began working in October, 2013. He assisted with the planning, development and execution of promotions for the Monarchs’ 18 athletics programs, while also responsible for creating page layouts for printÂed materials with graphics and publication software.

He began his professional career as an intern at ODU in January of 2012, before eventually being elevated into a graduate assistant role in the marketing office from AuÂgust of 2012 until May of 2013.

Jackson was a three-year letterman on the Monarchs’ football team from 2009 to 2011 and earned Colonial Athletic Association All-Academic Team honors as a seÂnior. He graduated from ODU in 2012 with a degree in sport management and a minor in marketing before completing his master’s degree at his alma mater the following year.

A member of the National Association of Collegiate MarÂketing Administrators (NACMA), Jackson was the recipiÂent of the 2017 Mike Cleary NACMA Convention Stipend.
