Adam Owens was promoted to Director of Player Development in August 2021 after serving as the team's video coordinator during the 2020-21 season.
Owens came to ECU after serving as a graduate assistant at the University of Missouri – Kansas City during the 2019-20 campaign. In his only year in KC, he aided in one of the biggest turnarounds in Division I as the Roos went 16-14, in a season cut short by COVID-19, after going 11-21 the previous season.
In the summer of 2018, Owens served as a basketball coach at IMG Academy where he assisted in daily practice planning and individual skill development.
A native of Fort Wayne, Ind., Owens graduated from Butler University in 2019 with a degree in human communication and organizational leadership. He served as student manager for the men’s basketball program for four years with the Bulldogs taking part in three NCAA Tournaments.
