Tyler Golsteyn was named an assistant coach for the East Carolina volleyball program in March of 2019.

Golsteyn spent the 2018 as a volunteer assistant coach at Purdue University, assisting in all aspects of individual and team training. He also helped mentor Sherridan Atkinson and Blake Mohler to American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-American accolades, Big Ten all-conference honors and AVCA All-Northeast Region recognition.

Golsteyn joined the Purdue staff after assisting North Dakota State to a 52-39 overall record and a 30-16 record in the Summit League over three seasons. Prior to his time with the Bison, he was a four-time Midwest Intercollegiate Volleyball Association All-Academic selection as a setter and libero at IPFW.

In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Golsteyn has also worked extensively at the club and high school level including stints at Fort Wayne's Bishop Luers High School, Impact VBC, Pineapple Sport One Volleyball Club, N3, and Alliance Volleyball Club.
