ECU's Wright and Parker Win C-USA Weekly Awards

Parker, a sophomore for ECU, had two solid meets during the Pirates' opening week. She took first place in all three events (200 IM, 200 butterfly, 200 medley relay) that she took part in against NC State and Duke. In the 200 butterfly, Parker set a new varsity record with a time of 2:03.89 against NC State.
Wright, the sole senior diver for the Pirates, set a new varsity record against NC State on the one-meter dive with a score of 268.43, which qualified her for nationals. Wright took second place in both the one-meter and three-meter dive against Duke. She now tops the all time list in the one-meter dive.
The Pirates take on James Madison this Friday, November 1, at 3 p.m. at Minges Aquatic Center.
