
19 ECU Swimmers Rank Nationally

Seven ECU women rank on the national list. Sophomore Diane Parker (Tucker, Ga.) ranks 23rd in the 200 IM, 34th in the 200 fly and 41st in the 100 fly. Freshman Meredith Lindgren (Miford, Conn.) ranks 30th in the 200 breast and freshman Holly Williams (Palmyra, N.Y.) ranks 49th in the 200 fly.
Three medley groups rank for the Lady Pirates. The team of Martha Snead, Meredith Lindgren, Diane Parker and Adrienne Williams rank 30th in the 200 medley relay. Parker and Lindgren are joined with Sarah Hunt and Holly Williams to make up the 400 medley relay team that ranks 31st. The 200 free relay group of Snead, Courtney Felker, Hunt and Adrienne Williams also ranks 31st.
Twelve Pirate men are ranked in the top 50. Sophomore Casey Cronin (East Providence, RI) ranks 29th in the 200 IM and 39th in the 100 free. Junior Matt Walker (Charleston, S.C.) ranks 32nd in the 200 free and 45th in the 100 free and junior Dean Cheek (Essex, England) stands at 30th in the 500 free.
Four relay teams rank for the men. The 400 free relay group of Walker, Gavin Stark, Cheek and Tyler Devinney rank 17th for the Pirates. The 200 free relay team of Kelly Hendrick, Jonathan Keefe, Devinney and Stark rank 22nd. Casey Charles, Kenny Flory, Andrew Dragunas and Stephen Parsons make up the 400 medley relay team that ranks 27th. Charles and Flory join up with Chris Miller and Devinney to rank 20th in the 200 medley relay.
The Pirates host Davidson Saturday, November 9 at 1 p.m. and the College of Charleston Sunday at 2 p.m.
