Diamond Pirates Ranked 24th In Final Poll

GREENVILLE, N.C.. -- For the fourth consecutive year, East Carolina has been ranked in at least one of the three final major polls. The Pirates finished their season with a final national ranking of 24th in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll. It marks the 11th time that ECU has been ranked in one of the three final major polls since 1964.
ECU capped off a 43-20-1 season by winning the school's first Conference USA championship, sweeping through the league's postseason tournament and earned its fourth consecutive NCAA Tournament bid.
The Pirates received their highest final national ranking a year ago, finishing ranked No. 11 in all three final major polls.
