
Men's Golf Underway at Beau Chene Classic

Southeastern Louisiana leads the field of 15 teams with a two round total of 563, 13 strokes under par. The Pirates shot 291 in round one of the tournament and finished the second round at 277 for a combined total of 568, eight strokes under par, and just five off the leader.
Chris Wheeler of Tulane leads all golfers at nine under with a two-round total of 135. East Carolina's Jonathan Hill sits in second place at 136, having shot 70 in a round one, and a 66 in round two. The next highest individual for East Carolina is Jason Harris, tied for 13th with a two-round score of 141.
"We played solid this afternoon," said ECU head coach Kevin Williams. "We are in a good position to pull ahead and hopefully bring home a win, which was our goal. Our guys are really excited about how well they played and we hope to come out tomorrow with another solid performance."
The final round of the tournament will begin tomorrow morning with a shotgun start beginning at 8 a.m.
